65 77 016 Removing And Installing/replacing Airbag Control Unit







WARNING:

Incorrect handling can lead to airbag deployment and cause injury.







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Disconnect negative battery cable
- Remove right glove box with housing







Remove airbag control unit (1) from mounting bracket (2) in direction of arrow.







Unlock plug connections (1) and (2) and disconnect.
Remove airbag control unit (3).







Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/encoding.
