Removing and Installing/Replacing Right Engine Hood/Bonnet Lock

51 23 100 - Removing and installing/replacing right engine hood/bonnet lock





Unclip coupling (1) from side panel.
Lever out cover (2) at coupling (1).
Lever Bowden cable (3) out of coupling (1).





Unclip Bowden cable (1) from holder (2).





Note:
Illustration shows A/C lines and module carrier cover removed for purposes of clarity.

Release bolts (1).
Tightening torque 51 23 2AZ [1][2][3]51 23 Engine Compartment Lid Catch/Locks.
Feed out hood/bonnet lock (2) through opening (3).





Disconnect plug connection (1), unclip plug and cable from body.
Disengage Bowden cable (1) in direction of arrow from hood/bonnet lock (3).
Replacement:
Remove switch (4) Service and Repair.
