51 16 165 Removing And Installing/Replacing Complete Centre Console
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove side carpet from storage compartment on left and right
- Remove fresh air grille in rear cabin
- Remove gear selector switch support (not when releasing centre console)
- Remove AV connecting socket cover (not when releasing centre console)
IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on handling wiring harnesses and cables.
NOTE: Driver's seat removed for purposes of clarity.
Release screws (1) and (2) on left and right.
Removing torque 51 16 4AZ.
Release screw (1) and pull centre console (2) approx. 50 mm towards rear.
Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ.
NOTE: The operation Releasing centre console ends here.
Version with rear compartment monitor:
Disconnect plug connection (3).
Feed air duct (1) out of centre console (3).
Release cable clip for cable (2) from centre console (3).
Installation note:
Make sure air duct (1) is correctly seated on centre console (3).
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Version with eject box:
Expose plug connections for eject box wiring harness and disconnect.
Pull centre console (1) towards rear/top, feed out wiring harnesses (2) and (3), and remove centre console (1).
Replacement:
If necessary, remove rear compartment monitor.
Remove rear storage box.
Remove side cover on centre console.
Remove front cup holder.
