64 12 577 Replacing Changeover Valve For Independent/auxiliary Heater







WARNING:
Danger of scalding.
Only perform the following tasks on an engine that has cooled down.
Follow instructions for working on cooling system.







NOTE: Disconnect coolant hoses from changeover valve for independent/auxiliary heater.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front left wheel arch trim







IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage.
Observe coolant thorough flow direction, mark coolant hoses before removing.

NOTE: If necessary, catch escaping coolant.

Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release spring clamps (2) and detach coolant hoses.
Release nuts (3) and remove changeover valve for independent/auxiliary heater (4).







After installation:
Vent cooling system and check for water leaks
