Top View/Reversing Camera Functions Intermittently

SITUATION

Intermittently the top view and reversing camera (TRSVC) do not function after starting the vehicle. The PDC (Park Distance Control) system functions as designed. Fault codes E218 and E219 are stored in the PDC control module.

The top view and reversing camera functions are restored when the ignition is switched off and on again.

The situation occurs very intermittently.

CAUSE

Software error in the TRSVC control module.

PROCEDURE

Do not replace any parts! Parts replacement does not correct the issue.

^ [NEW] Program and code the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.39.0 or higher.

^ [NEW] Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
