41 62 007 - Removing and installing rear lid lower section





Read contents of Body, General Service Precautions.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trim for rear lid lower section 51 49 090 Removing And Installing/Replacing Panel For Rear Lid Lower Section.
- Disconnect all cable plug connections and pull wiring harness out of rear lid.





Open rear lid (1) until screw (2) is accessible (risk of injury by spring tension).
With rear lid in this position, release screw (2) and insert in bore of support (3).
Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Latch, Locks.





Release screws (1) on both sides of vehicle.
Tightening torque 41 62 8AZ [1][2][3]41 62 Rear Lid.

Installation:
Screw down rear lid lower section with fitting screws. This dispenses with the need for adjustment after installation.
