Actuator: Service and Repair

33 10 ... Removing and installing/replacing left or right servomotor





Warning!
Scalding hazard!
This work may only be carried out on an exhaust system which has cooled down.





Important!
Remove servomotor only after being prompted to do so by diagnosis system.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Replacement only: Start Initial operation and follow instructions on screen

Release screws (1) and remove heat shield (2).





Installation:
Clean thread to remove all remnants of screw securing adhesive.

Make sure wiring harness (3) is correctly seated on rear differential.

Stick in new screws.

Tightening torque 33 11 4AZ.





Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2) and remove servomotor (3).

Installation:
Tightening torque 33 11 5AZ.





Important!
During replacement, only the correct servomotor (left/right) may be fitted!

Installation:
Replace O-ring (1).

After installation:
^ Correct oil level





^ Replacement only: Continue Initial operation
