Calibration of the Rear View Camera
To calibrate the rear view camera, the lines shown in the image must be brought into the right position on the target. The calibration requires a defined vehicle status.
On calibration, the full screen mode is activated automatically.
Securing the target
Secure the target to the rear axle as described in the repair instruction.
Correcting the distortion
Step 1: Correct the distortion. To do so, turn the lines until they are parallel to the circles on the target.
Correct the shift on the x-axis and y-axis.
Step 2: Shift the vertical lines on the x-axis. Shift the lines to the left or right until they pass through the four circles. In the example below, the lines must be shifted to the left.
Step 3: The horizontal line on the y-axis. Move the line upwards or downwards until the intersecting points are at the vertical lines in the upper circles. In the graphic below, the line must be shifted downwards.
Completing the calibration
At the end of the calibration, the lines must pass through the centre of the circles. The optimized alignment of the lines is achieved when the inner areas of the circles show through around the lines. The set calibration values are adopted into the camera on confirmation.
