12 14 611 Removing/Replacing Left Knock Sensors

12 14 611 Removing/Replacing Left Knock Sensors (N63, S63)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Turn off ignition
- Disconnect battery negative lead
- Remove left intake manifold







Unlock and disconnect plugs (1) on both knock sensors.
Release screws on both knock sensors (2).
Tightening torque 13 62 5AZ.
Remove knock sensors (3).







Installation:
Clean support face of knock sensors on engine block.







NOTE:
Check stored fault message.
Delete fault memory.
