51 24 300 Removing and installing or replacing left or right gas pressure spring for tailgate







WARNING:
Danger of injury.
When removing both gas pressure springs, support tailgate in fully open position with suitable apparatus.







Open tailgate.

NOTE: Make a written record of the alignment of gas strut (2) before removing.

Slide retaining spring (1) to end of gas pressure spring (2) and lever out gas pressure spring (2).
Repeat the process at the other end of the gas pressure spring (2) and remove.
