51 16 190 Removing and installing / replacing lock cylinder in centre armrest







When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove servo drive in storage compartment







Unlock and remove lock barrel circlip (1) as shown with suitable tool (2).
Remove washer disc (3).

Installation note:
The washer disc (2) is position encoded and can only be installed in one position.







Protect the lock strikers of the lock barrel (1) with spare key from falling out.
Bear down lock tabs (arrows) of lock housing (2) and feed lock barrel (1) out toward the bottom.

Installation note:
Check correct function of lock barrel (1) after locking.
