51 16 000 Removing and installing or replacing mirror on left or right front door







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front door trim panel







Remove rubber window seal (2) in area of mirror triangle and fold forwards.

Installation note:
Use suitable Phillips screwdriver to correctly position nipple of rubber window seal (2) over bore hole.
Unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) from rear-view mirror on front door (3).







Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 16 1AZ.
Remove rear-view mirror on front door with rubber seal (1) and set aside.

Installation note:
Correctly insert rubber seal (1) into recess of mirror mounting frame.







Installation note:
Correctly insert mirror base (2) into rubber window seal (1).

Replacement
- Convert housing on exterior mirror
