54 34 330 Removing and installing/replacing front cowl panel gasket rail

WARNING:
Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.
For all repair work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.

Release screws in marked area.

Installation note
Tightening torque 54 34 12AZ.
Observe tightening sequence (1-5).
Apply Loctite to screws.

Remove rail (clamping strip) from gasket.

Installation note:
Set clamping strip (1) to lock striker (2).
Prepare spacer (3) or check distance with caliper gauge.
