51 16 172 Removing and installing/replacing centre armrest storage compartment

Special tools required:







When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove Centre armrest cover







NOTE: Similar to graphic.

Unlock and disconnect all front plug connections (2) on centre console storage compartment (1).







Unlock retaining tabs (2) all the way around with special tool 00 9 327.







Version with LED only:
- Disconnect plug connection (2) from LED.

Lift out centre console storage compartment (1) from top.

Replacement
- Modify charging socket cover
- Modify front and rear insert mat
- Modify floor cover
- Version with LED only:
Modify light guide
