1. The indicators do not flash in acknowledgement when the vehicle is locked and unlocked. (The alarm flashing in acknowledgement when the vehicle is locked and unlocked must be activated in the settings.)
2. The LED in the mirror does not flash when activating the anti-theft alarm or when locking the vehicle.

CAUSE
The situation described in this Service Information bulletin is caused by a software error in the DWA control module.
PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.
Please do not delete faults or disconnect the battery; otherwise, the fault will no longer be present and the anti-theft alarm will function correctly until the next intermittent fault behavior.
1. Perform a vehicle test with ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application) and diagnose any faults stored in the system related to DWA.
Note:
When the ISTA system message displays:
Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger.
Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
If it is not possible to run diagnostics, please check the fuse or plug connection and the wiring to the siren with integrated tilt alarm sensor (SINE).
2. If there are no faults in the system, please update the software with ISTA P2.43.1 or higher.
Note:
ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
