SUBJECT
Instrument Cluster Display and/or HUD Display Are Intermittently Switched Off

Vehicles produced from February 28, 2011 to May 16, 2011
SITUATION
The display in the instrument cluster and/or the HUD (Head-up Display - option code 0610) intermittently switches off partially or completely. This condition may last until the next power cycle.
One or more of the following fault codes may be stored in the fault memory:
E10445 - Fault-induced reset of the MOST controller (INIC)
B7F66E - Graphical PCB failed
B7F67D - Monitoring circuit has triggered the reset (WD reset)
E114BC - Instrument cluster detects fault on MOST
CAUSE
MOST controller software error in the instrument cluster
PROCEDURE
Do not replace parts.
Perform a vehicle test using ISTA D2.27 or higher. If there is a fault in the system, follow the test plan recommendations.
Note: When the ISTA system message displays:
"Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V", connect the charger.
Note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
If there are no faults in the system, update the software using ISTA P2.42.2 or higher.
