SUBJECT
Remote Control Key Buttons Operate Incorrectly After Coding

MODEL
F30

SITUATION
The remote control buttons operate incorrectly after programming and coding using ISTA/P 2.47.x. or later.

^ Vehicles without option 302 (Alarm System): the 3rd button unlocks the entire vehicle instead of just opening the trunk.

^ Vehicles with option 302 (Alarm System): the 4th button panic mode siren does not work; the entire vehicle unlocks.

CAUSE
Front Electronic Module (FEM) coding error

PROCEDURE

1. If the vehicle was programmed/coded using ISTA/P 2.47.x or later and it is experiencing the situation noted above, recode the FEM one additional time by individually selecting the FEM for coding.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.

For information on programming and coding with ISTA/P, refer to CenterNet / Aftersales Portal / Service / Workshop Technology / Vehicle Programming.

2. After coding is complete, turn the vehicle off and lock the vehicle.

3. Check the functionality of the remote controls.

This issue will be corrected in a future version of ISTA/P. This Service Information will be updated once more information becomes available.

Note:
When the ISTA system message displays: Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger. Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section. This documentation is not necessary when part of an approved Technical Service repair procedure; the battery charger is required to be attached before performing the Vehicle Test.
