51 16 366 Removing And Installing/Replacing Right Glove Box With Housing







When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove trim for instrument panel, bottom left
- Remove side panel on dashboard

US national-market version:
- Remove airbag module for front passenger knee protection







Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 16 2AZ.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 45 6AZ.







Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 51 16 2AZ.







Open glovebox.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 16 2AZ.







Pull glove box (1) out slightly and unlock and disconnect depending on the plug connection versions (2).
Remove glove box (1).







Replacement:
- Modify damper for glove box
- Modify glove box cover
- Modify glove box light

Depending on version:
- Modify USB interface connecting socket/blind plate
- Modify hotel setting switch/blind plate
