Lane Change Warning Lamps on Side View Mirrors Are Too Dark

SITUATION
The lane change warning lamps (small and triangle-shaped) on the exterior door mirrors are too dark.
This may occur when driving from light to dark conditions, such as:
^ Entering a tunnel
^ At twilight
CAUSE
RLSS (Rain Light Solar Sensor) hardware error
PROCEDURE
1. Perform a vehicle test using ISTA.
a. If no faults are stored, proceed to step 2.
b. If faults are stored for the RLSS, this SIB no longer applies.
Complete all related test plans and follow the test plan recommendations.
Do not perform the remaining steps below.
Note:
When the ISTA system message displays: Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger. Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
2. Replace the RLSS following ISTA Repair Instruction 61 35 179, "Removing and replacing the Rain Light Solar Sensor."
3. Retest the functionality.
