Radio Replacement

RADIO REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument accessory panel trim plate.
2. Remove the radio screws.




3. Pull the radio away from the instrument panel (I/P).
4. Disconnect the electrical/audio electrical connectors from the radio.
5. Disconnect the coaxial cable connector from the radio.
6. Remove the radio.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
3. Install the radio to the I/P.
Align the radio control locator tab to the I/P locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the I/P until fully seated.

IMPORTANT If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.




4. Install the radio screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the radio screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

5. Install the I/P accessory trim plate.
6. Perform the radio set-up procedure.
