Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the hood assist rods. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood (Service and Repair) .
3. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with an grease pencil.
4. Remove the bolts from the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.




5. Remove the hood from the vehicle, with an assistant.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hood to the vehicle, with an assistant.




2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





3. Install the bolts to the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.

Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the hood assist rods. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood (Service and Repair) .
5. Adjust the hood as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments) .
