Heater Hose - Inlet
TOOLS REQUIREDJ 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers.
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the wiper motor module assembly.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster and reposition.
4. Remove the air cleaner cover and intake tube.
5. Disconnect the throttle and cruise control cables.
IMPORTANT: Disconnect the throttle and cruise control cables from the TBI mounting bracket to prevent bending the cable housings.
6. Remove the transmission fluid filler tube.
7. Disconnect the inlet heater hose (1) from the inlet heater pipe (2).
8. Disconnect the heater hose clamp using the J 38185.
9. Disconnect the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
10. Remove the inlet heater hose.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the inlet heater hose.
2. Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
3. Connect the heater hose clamp using the J 38185.
4. Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the inlet pipe (2).
5. Install the transmission fluid filler tube.
6. Connect the throttle and cruise control cables to the TBI mounting bracket.
7. Install the air cleaner cover and intake tube.
8. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
9. Install the wiper motor module assembly.
10. Fill the cooling system.
