Stabilizer Shaft ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tires and wheels.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft links.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator bolts and brackets.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators (4).
6. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets.
Important: On AWD models the rear of the front frame must be lowered enough to remove the stabilizer shaft.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the right side of the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle from the right side of the vehicle.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators (4) and brackets.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft bolts.
^ Tighten the stabilizer shaft bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft links.
5. Install the tires and wheels.
6. Lower the vehicle.
