Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement - Rear (Rear (w/AWD))Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Remove the brake caliper and support the brake caliper. Do NOT disconnect the brake hose.
4. Remove the brake caliper bracket.
5. Remove the brake rotor.
6. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector from the connector bracket.
8. Disconnect the drive axle from the wheel bearing/hub.
9. Remove and DISCARD the wheel bearing/hub bolts.
10. Remove the wheel bearing/hub.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the wheel bearing/hub.
2. Caution: These fasteners MUST be replaced with new fasteners anytime they become loose or are removed. Failure to replace these fasteners after they become loose or are removed may cause loss of vehicle control and personal injury.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the NEW wheel bearing/hub bolts.
Tighten the NEW wheel bearing/hub bolts to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the drive axle to the wheel bearing/hub.
4. Install the wheel speed sensor electrical connector to the connector bracket.
5. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the brake rotor.
7. Install the brake caliper bracket.
8. Install the brake caliper.
9. Install the tire and wheel.
10. Lower the vehicle.
