- Symptoms - Sunroof/Moonroof



SYMPTOMS

IMPORTANT: The following must be completed before using the symptom tables.
1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, in order to verify that all of the following are true:
- There are no DTCs set.
- The control module(s) can communicate via the serial data link. Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
2. Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation.

Visual/Physical Inspection
- Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Power Sunroof system.
- Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.

Symptom List
Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:
- Power Sunroof Inoperative.
- Power Sunroof Does Not Close
- Power Sunroof Window is Skewed
- Power Sunroof When Operated from Vent to Close One Side Will Drop Before the Other
- Power Sunroof When Closing from the Vent Position the Window Will Reverse Direction
- Power Sunroof Will Stop at the Wrong Location
- Power Sunroof Will Over Travel the Open Position and Stall the Motor
- Power Sunroof Will Over Travel the Close Position and Stall the Motor
- Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Time-out in Computer/Integrating Systems, if the power sunroof should operate for more than 10 minutes after the ignition switch has been turned OFF.
