Seat Back Cover Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
2. Remove the front seat back from the front seat. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front (Seat Back Replacement - Front) .
3. Remove the front seat headrest. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat) .
4. Remove the front seat armrest. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Front Seat (Service and Repair) .




5. Separate the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.




6. Position the front seat back cover end flaps for access.
7. Remove the side air bag from the front right and/or left seat.

* For the right front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - RH in Seats.
* For the left front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - LH in Seats.





8. Separate the seat back cover from the front retainer at the side impact airbag.




9. Separate the seat back cover from the rear retainer at the side impact airbag.
10. Separate the hook and the loop retainers securing the front seat back cover to the pad.




11. Remove the front seat back cover from the seat back, by pulling the seat back cover up and over the pad.




12. Remove the hog rings from the front seat back cover to the pad.
13. Remove the front seat back cover from the pad.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front seat back cover with alignment mark to the alignment mark on the pad.
2. Install the hog rings to the front seat back cover to the pad.
3. Install the seat back cover over the pad while alining the hook and the loop retainers.
4. Install the hook and the loop retainers, securing the front seat back cover to the pad.




5. Install the seat back cover to the front retainer at the side impact airbag.




6. Install the seat back cover to the rear retainer at the side impact airbag.
7. Install the side air bag to the front right and/or left seat.

* For the right front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - RH in Seats.
* For the left front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - LH in Seats.





8. Install and adjust the seat back cover to the side air bag retainer, by pressing in and pulling down on the seat back cover.




9. Reposition the front seat back cover end flap.




10. Install the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.
11. Install the front seat back to the front seat. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front (Seat Back Replacement - Front) .
12. Install the front seat headrest. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat) .
13. Install the front seat armrest. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Front Seat (Service and Repair) .
14. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
