143. Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation





Important: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.

1. Place the A/C compressor in position to the cylinder block.
2. Loosely install the A/C compressor bolts.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Tighten the A/C compressor front upper bolt.
^ Tighten the A/C compressor front upper bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4. Tighten the A/C compressor rear upper bolt.
^ Tighten the A/C compressor rear upper bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Tighten the A/C compressor rear lower bolt.
^ Tighten the A/C compressor rear lower bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6. Tighten the A/C compressor front lower bolt.
^ Tighten the A/C compressor front lower bolt to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
