Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right) Exhaust



CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT - BANK 1 (RIGHT) EXHAUST

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the power steering pressure hose bracket nut and reposition as necessary, in order to gain access.




3. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1).




4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
5. Remove the CMP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the CMP sensor.
2. Install the CMP sensor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the power steering pressure hose as necessary.
