Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair



Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (FWD)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the left front tire and wheel.





3. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft link lower nut (3).
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link (2) from the stabilizer shaft.





5. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the left side of the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install stabilizer shaft going in through left side of vehicle.
2. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets.





3. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the stabilizer shaft link lower nut (3).
^ Tighten the nut to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the left front tire and wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
