A/C Temperature and Mode Controls Inoperative, A/C Button Does Not Respond When Pressed, Pushbutton LED Indicators Brighter Than Rest of HVAC Control Head (Update HVAC Control Module Software)

Condition

Some customers may comment on any of the following conditions:

^ The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system will not change modes when the customer selects a mode change.

^ The Air Conditioning (A/C) button is not functional. It does not respond when pressed.

^ When the headlights are on and the dimmer switch is at its maximum position, the pushbutton Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicators will be brighter than the rest of the HVAC control head.

^ On a vehicle with single zone control heads the temperature function will not operate properly.

Correction

A new calibration has been released to correct these conditions. Reprogram the HVAC Control Module with software/calibrations contained in GMNAO TIS version 9.5 or later, which was released on September 18, 2005.
