DTC B3752
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) monitors the driver information center (DIC) mode switch and the DIC reset switch in order to perform certain functions. The IPC detects a switch activation when the signal circuit is low.
DTC DESCRIPTORs
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs:
- DTC B2838 Driver Information Center (DIC) Reset Switch Circuit Low
- DTC B3564 Driver Information Center (DIC) Mode Switch Circuit Low
- DTC B3569 Driver Information Center (DIC) Select Switch Circuit Low
- DTC B3752 Driver Information Center (DIC) On or Off Signal Circuit Low
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The IPC must have normal operating battery voltage.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
B2838: The IPC detects that the reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 60 seconds.
B3564: The IPC detects that the mode switch signal circuit is low for greater than 60 seconds.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The IPC ignores the DIC mode switch or the DIC reset switch.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- A current DTC B3564 or B2838 will clear after a complete ignition cycle if the fault is no longer present.
- The IPC receives the clear code command from the scan tool.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
- The IPC will store the code as current only as long as the failure exists. An intermittent failure will be stored as a history DTC B3564 or B2838.
- If DTC B3564 or B2838 is set only in history, press and release the DIC mode B3564 or reset B2838 switch several times in order to verify the customer concern.
