Lock Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door module. Refer to Door Module Replacement - Front () .




2. Release the inside door handle from the door module. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside (Service and Repair) .
3. Release the lock rods from the retainer clips.
4. Release the door lock/latch bracket retainer tab from the module.
5. Pull the lock rearward in order to release the lock bracket from the module.
6. Disconnect the front door inside lock handle rods from the front door lock.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock rod hooks to the lock mechanism.
2. Holding the door handle with lock rods attached, guide the lock bracket into the door module.
3. Push the lock assembly until the bracket tab locks into the module.
4. Secure the inside door handle to the lock module. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside (Service and Repair) .
5. Secure the lock rods to the retainer clips.
6. Install the front door module. Refer to Door Module Replacement - Front () .
