Front Seat Back Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket .
2. Remove the front seat back from the front seat. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .
3. Remove the front seat headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
4. Remove the front seat armrest. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .




5. Separate the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.




6. Position the front seat back cover end flaps for access.
7. Remove the side air bag from the front right and/or left seat.

* For the right front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Right Side .
* For the left front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Left Side .




8. Separate the seat back cover from the front retainer at the side impact air bag.




9. Separate the seat back cover from the rear retainer at the side impact air bag.
10. Separate the hook and the loop retainers securing the front seat back cover to the pad.




11. Remove the front seat back cover from the seat back, by pulling the seat back cover up and over the pad.




12. Remove the hog rings from the front seat back cover to the pad.
13. Remove the front seat back cover from the pad.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the front seat back cover with alignment mark to the alignment mark on the pad.
2. Install the hog rings to the front seat back cover to the pad.
3. Install the seat back cover over the pad while alining the hook and the loop retainers.
4. Install the hook and the loop retainers, securing the front seat back cover to the pad.




5. Install the seat back cover to the front retainer at the side impact air bag.




6. Install the seat back cover to the rear retainer at the side impact air bag.
7. Install the side air bag to the front right and/or left seat.

* For the right front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Right Side .
* For the left front seat side air bag, refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Left Side .




8. Install and adjust the seat back cover to the side air bag retainer, by pressing in and pulling down on the seat back cover.




9. Reposition the front seat back cover end flap.




10. Install the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.
11. Install the front seat back to the front seat. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .
12. Install the front seat headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
13. Install the front seat armrest. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .
14. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket .
