Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire hoist.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the tire and wheel.
4. Disconnect the automatic level control (ALC) position sensor harness connector, if necessary.
5. Disconnect the height sensor link from the lower control arm as necessary.




6. Remove the left and right side stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets along with the ALC position sensor, if necessary.
7. Disconnect the left and right stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the stabilizer shaft.




2. Connect the left and right stabilizer shaft links.
3. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets along with the ALC position sensor, if necessary.
4. Connect the height sensor to the lower control arm, as necessary.
5. Connect the ALC position sensor harness connector, if necessary.
6. Install the tire and wheel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the spare tire to the spare tire hoist.
