Interior - Power Seat Track Moves/Feels Loose

Subject: Power Seat Track Moves/Loose Feeling (Chucking) (Replace Front Lift Link Bolt)

2008 Buick Enclave Built Prior to June 2007
2007 GMC Acadia
2007 Saturn OUTLOOK

This bulletin is being revised to provide part number to allow ordering through GMCC&A. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-50-002A (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the power front seat track moves or has a loose feeling.

Cause

This condition may be caused by the shoulder of the bolt.

Correction

Replace the front lift link bolt. Follow the procedure below.





1. Measure from the floor to the bottom of the plastic seat front finish panel 79.4 mm (3-1/8 in). If not placed in this position, the seat link lift bolt cannot be removed.
2. Remove the seat. Refer To Bucket Seat Replacement in SI.
3. Remove the plastic seat trim. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement in SI.
4. Disengage the J channel retainers from all the sides of the seat cushion frame and lift up the cushion.





5. Remove the four bolts from the seat cushion pan and lift the pan upward.





6. Remove the front lift link bolt and discard.
7. Install the new bolt and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

8. Install the seat cushion pan and bolts.
9. Install the seat cushion and cover.
10. Install the J channel retainers to the seat cushion frame.
11. Install the plastic seat trim. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement in SI.
12. Install the seat. Refer To Bucket Seat Replacement in SI.
