NOTICE: This bulletin has been revised to add the Regals and Rivieras and to correct the parts statement.
Some 1982-88 Buicks with C68 HVAC systems may exhibit the subject condition due to a shorted power transistor in the power module of the automatic HVAC system.
This condition may be addressed by the installation of a power module service kit, part number 10135631.
Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
