SUBJECT: FRONT DOOR LOCK STICKS OR BINDS
MODELS AFFECTED: 1982-88 SKYHAWKS WITH POWER DOOR LOCKS
Skyhawks with power door locks may have a condition of sticking or binding of the front door lock(s) when operating the power lock option.
The condition may be repaired by removing the trim pad and crimping the bellcrank butterfly opening as shown in the illustration.
Crimp the opening about 2 mm (5/64") at a time and try the lock operation after each crimp until satisfactory operation is achieved.
