SUBJECT: LOOSE REAR DECK LUGGAGE CARRIER REAR CROSS RAILS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1983 CENTURY AND SKYHAWK MODELS
To correct subject condition on some subject cars, remove the two existing rubber "well-nut" fasteners (one on each end of the rear cross rail) and install "molly nut" (part number 1623436).

The holes in the deck lid should be inspected after removal of the "well-nut" for signs of rust or corrosion. If rust or corrosion is present, the condition should be corrected before installing part number 1623436.
