1. After removing front cover, remove fuel pump eccentric, oil slinger, crankshaft sprocket, chain and camshaft sprocket.
2. Install camshaft sprocket, crankshaft sprocket and timing chain together, aligning timing marks as shown in Fig. 13.
3. Install fuel pump eccentric with flat side rearward, Fig. 14. Then install oil slinger and replace front cover. The valve timing marks, Figs. 13 and 14, do not indicate TDC compression stroke for No. 1 cylinder, which is used for distributor installation. If distributor was removed, install timing chain and sprockets, aligning timing marks, Figs. 13 and 14, then rotate engine until No. 1 cylinder is on compression stroke and camshaft timing mark is 180° from valve timing position shown in illustrations, then install distributor.
