Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

1983---85 SKYLARK
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove headlamp switch knob by using a small screwdriver through slot to depress retainer while pulling knob out.
3. Remove switch bezel.
4. Remove rear window defogger switch knob, if equipped, by pulling straight off.
5. Remove 3 attaching screws from lower edge of lefthand trim panel.
6. Pull lefthand trim panel straight forward and remove from vehicle.
7. Remove 2 headlamp switch attaching screws and the switch. Pulling switch straight out of dash will also disconnect the electrical connector.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
