SUBJECT: BATTERY CHANGE
MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 CENTURYS WITH 3.0L ENGINES (CODE E)
A production change on above vehicles effective approximately April 1, 1984, changes the battery from the Delco 85A60, 390CCA as the base battery, and the Delco 7560, 500CCA as the heavy duty option (UAI) to the following:
^ Standard Battery Delco 7560, 500CCA
^ Heavy Duty Option (UAI) Delco 75A60, 630CCA
Should a battery require replacement in any 1984 Century equipped with the 3.0L engine, it is recommended that the Delco 7560 (Standard Battery) or Delco 75A60 (Heavy Duty Battery) be used for service.
