V6-262 Engine EGR Valve

1. Apply vacuum to valve using vacuum pump with integral gauge and observe valve diaphragm.
2. On 1984-85 rear wheel drive models, except California models with DEC system, valve should remain closed below 8.5 inches Hg and should be fully open above 13 inches Hg.
4. On 1984 front wheel drive models, except California models with DEC system, valve should remain closed below 7.5 inches Hg and be fully open above 12 inches Hg.
5. On 1984-85 California models with DEC system and 1985 Electra, Fleetwood Brougham and Ninety-Eight, valve should remain closed below 6 inches Hg and should be fully open above 18 inches Hg.
6. If valve fails to perform as outlined, valve should be replaced.
