SUBJECT: GM GOODWRENCH 4.3 LITER V-6 DIESEL ENGINE
MODELS AFFECTED: 1982-84 REGALS AND CENTURYS AND 1985 ELECTRAS
A GM Goodwrench 4.3L V-6 diesel engine is now available through WDDGM for current and past model vehicles equipped with a 4.3L V-6 diesel engine. All GM Goodwrench 4.3L V-6 diesel engines are manufactured with new components. They all contain roller lifter valve trains and incorporate all refinements of current model production.
The GM Goodwrench engine for the LT7 option Century models contains aluminum cylinder heads.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Cylinder block assembly, connecting rod and piston assemblies, crankshaft, crankshaft balancer hub, camshaft, cylinder head assemblies including valve trains, camshaft and crankshaft sprockets with chain, timing gears and cover, oil pump and screen, oil pan, oil filter (LT7 only), oil level indicator guide and instruction sheet.
The engine will contain oil. The label on the intake manifold cover will indicate the type of oil, winter or summer, that is installed in the engine. It may be necessary to change the oil if it is incorrect for the season that exists when the engine is being installed.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
Most often you can transfer the component not included in the GM Goodwrench engine from the engine that is being replaced to the GM Goodwrench engine.
These parts are: intake manifold and related plumbing, exhaust manifold, alternator, power steering, vacuum pump, injection pump, injection nozzles and pipes, fuel pumps, filter and pipes, water pump, block heater, flywheel, pulleys, brackets and belts.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
Any warranty claims submitted to Buick for the installation of a GM Goodwrench 4.3L V-6 diesel engine will require zone authorization, and are to be submitted using the following labor operation numbers. List the applicable engine part number in the "Failed Part Number" column.
LABOR TIME ALLOWANCE:
LT6 Regal Models J1840 6.6 Hrs.
LT7 Century Models J1840 7.6 Hrs.
Electra Models J1840 7.8 Hrs.
Add: With Cruise Control .1 Hrs.
With Air Conditioning Regal .3 Hrs.
Century .4 Hrs.
Replace Governor Weight
Retaining Ring (If Required) .7 Hrs.
Includes: R&R hood, belts, fan and flywheel cover, D&C exhaust pipes, fuel and vacuum lines, linkage, starter and hoses. Drain and refill engine oil (if required) and coolant. Check injection pump governor weight retaining ring. Make all necessary adjustments including dynamic timing. Also includes time to transfer all required parts.
