SUBJECT: NEW THIRD GEAR OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 LESABRES EQUIPPED WITH 5.0L V8 ENGINES (VIN CODE Y) AND THM 200-C MODEL OI TRANSMISSIONS

Beginning in November, 1983, a new third gear oil pressure switch and bracket assembly (Figure 1) went into production for all 1984 THM 200-C Model OI transmissions.
When servicing any 1984 THM 200-C Model OI transmission and replacement of the third oil pressure switch is necessary & compare the oil pressure switch being replaced to the two switches in Figure 1.
If the oil switch required is the past switch order part number 8634475.
If the oil switch required is the new switch order part number 8648190.
