MANUAL LEVER SHAFT SEAL




Changing a manual lever shaft seal can take as long as two hours. It's no big deal once you have the cup plug removed that holds the parking strut shaft in place. (See figure 1)

The easy way is:




File a small groove in the strut shaft, where indicated by arrow "A" (Figure 2).

The groove need only be big enough to catch a chisel point, or bushing cutter.

Drive the shaft out, in the direction indicated by arrow "B", in Figure 2.
