SUBJECT: ROUGH IDLE AND LOW SPEED DRIVEABILITY

MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 SKYHAWKS WITH 1.8L TURBO ENGINE (VIN CODE J)


Some 1984 Skyhawks equipped with 1.8L Turbo engines may exhibit rough idle and low speed driveability (idle instability, engine stop running) that can not be repaired with currently published diagnostic and service information.

If such a condition is encountered a new service prom may be needed (Part numbers listed below).
