SUBJECT: TCC Solenoid

PROBLEM:
TCC solenoids in the THM 125C may stick in the closed position, causing the engine to stall when shifting into drive or reverse. Many times the transmission shifts good until it reaches operating temperature, then will stall engine when coming to a stop.

CORRECTION:




A new design solenoid is available that will prevent sediment from sticking to the electromagnetic portion of the solenoid. This new solenoid will fit all previous models and is in most 1987 model THM 125C transmissions.

Part number for the new design TCC solenoid, for vehicles equipped with gas engines is 8652379.

The 1988 KDC model uses part number 8665016.
