Started In Delay Mode
No Low Mode Procedure 8
No High Mode Procedure 9
Blades Cycle In And Out Of Park Position When Procedure 10
Wiper Is Shut Off
Motor End Cover Replacement Procedure 11
Before performing any diagnosis of the system to determine the cause of these conditions, the following two items should be checked: A) Wiper fuse is not blown; and, B) That the wiper motor ground strap is secure and that the ground strap has continuity to the body ground.
NOTICE: When the diagnosis procedure requires wiper motor operation, the windshield and wiper blades must be cleaned to avoid damaging glass.

MOTOR END CAP:
PROCEDURE 11 - MOTOR END COVER REPLACEMENT
1. Check motor grounds. If ground is poor, install ground clip (P/N 22048623).
2. Cheek armature for open circuit.
3. Check circuit breaker for intermittent open.
4. Check brush plate assembly for restricted brush to commutator contact.
5. Replace motor end cap, P/N 22038791.
To replace motor end cap:
a. Disassemble end cap by bending fasten tabs outward and remove end cap from armature shaft (see Figure 1). Do not remove armature.
b. Spray "spray on" 2002 T.F. electrical contact and tape head cleaner or equivalent on clean cloth and wipe commutator clean.
C. Install new end cap and bend fasten tabs back to original position.
