Master Cylinder Bleeding Notes
NOTE:^ The following notes apply to master cylinders without proportioners or pressure control valves located in the master cylinder outlet ports.
^ All models use a self-centering valve. After any bleeding operation, turn ignition switch to "ACC" or "ON" position and depress brake pedal. Valve will center itself.
Exc. Corvette
On vehicles equipped with combined drum and disc brakes, the pressure differential valve must be held in its open position while bleeding the brakes using a pressure type bleeder. This is done by depressing the plunger and holding it in place using a special tool. When using pressure bleeding equipment follow the recommendations of the manufacturer.
Corvette
On Corvette models with disc brakes on all four wheels, there are two bleeder valves on each rear wheel disc brake. Remove the rear wheels to bleed. A single valve is used on front disc brakes.
