Adding Fluid to Fill Dry Transmission & Converter

The following procedure covers complete fill of the transmission after overhaul, and includes the converter.

1. Add specified amount of fluid.

2. With transmission in PARK and parking brake applied, start engine and position throttle at fast idle.

3. Move shifter lever through each range then with transmission in PARK, add additional fluid as required to bring the level between the two dimples on the dipstick.
